This essay by Rebecca Merrill Groothuis, "The Art of Worship," was originally published in Focal Point, the Denver Seminary magazine in the summer of 1997. Please excuse the highlighting. I could not find a clean, original copy. While Becky was known for her writing on egalitarianism, she was also a pianist and vocalist of great skill and had thought deeply about worship.
